The Calder Hall Medical Centre is about to operationalise its Community Outreach initiative as part of its wider corporate strategic deliverables for the current year 2013. The programme will allow all Tobagonians access to free medical testing, examinations and consultation each quarter of the year. The first such free clinic is carded to take place at the auditorium of the Signal Hill Comprehensive School on June 15 from 08:00 am to 01:00pm. The Centre is to announce other village clusters, venues and dates each quarter. According to a release issued by the Centre, residents will have free access to the following services: The Calder Hall Medical Centre, the only private medical and wellness institution of its kind in Tobago, offers a full range of services other than noted above inclusive of X-Ray, Ultrasound, CT Scan, Same Day Surgery in its well-provisioned Operating Theatre, Laboratory Tests, Ophthalmology, Medical Spa Treatment etc and is less costly than counterparts in Trinidad. The Centre which is in its fifth year, is owned by Dr. Alan Patrick who leads a dedicated, trained and experienced contingent of medical and administrative health care professionals. “We welcome the residents of the catchment area alluded to while others outside the cluster may attend. We look forward to assisting the authorities in their quest for a healthier Tobago,” the release stated.
